 Farm Buildings Recording Group Meetings

(these take place throughout the year)

No longer required for modern agriculture, farm buildings are disappearing so fast that it was felt imperative to make a start recording the ones that remain.  A small group is visiting local farms with the aim of building up detailed records that will include many photographs. The records are stored in the archive and should prove to be a marvellous source of information in years to come for anyone interested in the agricultural history of the area.  To access them now, permission from the farmer or landowner must first be gained. If you wish to help with this important work, please contact Jennifer Weale 01886 821368 or email weale@tinyworld.co.uk

Programme Secretary – John Allan.  Telephone 01886 821450 or contact at bp.allan@btinternet.com
